Happy Easter everyone! Hopefully you're waist deep in chocolate eggs right now and those Malteser bunnies have been well & truly devoured, because they're slightly healthier right?!
The last few weeks have been filled with lots of exciting things to share with you all, so hopefully this can be some bank holiday reading for you, in between mini eggs and movie reruns of course ;-)
The Olly Jolly Anyone who knows me or listens to our radio show knows my fondness of all things Olly Murs. He played 2 sold out nights in Belfast last week and luckily for me one of my best friends was the warm up DJ before his concert. Convenient!
Pete and Paulo from Cool Breakfast played a sneaky one (I'm never trusting them again) and right until the last minute, kept it secret from me that Mr Murs would be making an appearance, until he walked into Pete's dressing room.
I tried to play it very cool but inside I was visualising the wedding. Only joking. Well ok not really. Olly was super cool and chatty, and a total showman. Once his hair was done LOL he had the SSE Arena, in the palm of his hand!
If you ever get a chance to see him live then it's a must do. And yes, I'm still waiting for that birthday drink!
For everyone asking, my off the shoulder white shirt is from ASOS - and no its not inspired by toilet roll 😂
Flowers & Stripes ''Tis the season to launch some fashion and one of my favourite parts of my job is hosting and styling up fashion shows. Last weekend I was down at Sprucefield and Victoria Square talking styling with all you lovely people, so hopefully everyone got some spring shopping inspiration. I know I did!
My problem at those gigs is that I have my money mentally spent before I've even earned it! Here's my outfit details:
Sprucefield - chambray denim two piece, tie up top and cropped flare trousers - Warehouse
Victoria Square Pale pink striped suit - DV8 CK Tshirt - Calvin Klein
Floral suit - Oasis Green body - Missguided
Gingham & jersey jumpsuit - ASOS
I'm out and about loads at the minute that the key for me is buy high street and affordable, so hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised by the price of these looks!
Right Said Ed There is no one in the music business selling like Ed Sheeran right now (sorry Olly) and true to form he sold out 2 nights at the 3Arena in Dublin this week. Paulo and I headed down to the gig on Thursday night, hopefully you caught our snaps of the show on Insta or Cool FM's Snapchat!
How one person can captivate thousands with just a guitar and some backing graphics I have no idea, but he does it alright! Covering hits from both new and old albums, he brought the house down and when he finished his set with Galway Girl, everyone became Michael Flatley & Irish danced their way through it.
Now all we need is Ed Sheeran, outdoors next Spring, in Ormeau Park! Make it happen!!
If you follow me on Insta (rebecca_mckinney1) then you'll see that I'm launching an exciting new styling event with my great friend, and terrifyingly talented make up artist, Stevey Lennox.
We've teamed up with the Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast, Shortcross Gin and some very cool fashion and beauty brands to hold an exclusive fashion show on Friday 5th May, 7.30pm in the hotel lobby.
Tickets are only £20, but they're limited, so if this sounds like something that would be right up your street, then click the link below and book to come and see us! We would love it!!
Until next week, lottsa love Rebecca xx
